Legal
Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy explains what information zkGUN collects, why we collect it, how it is used and protected, and the choices you have — including when you submit a case involving sensitive financial and personal details.
Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to information collected through the zkGUN website, our case-intake channels, and any related communications — including from victims, legal representatives, compliance contacts and other parties who interact with us (“you”).
It does not apply to third-party websites, exchanges or services we may reference or cooperate with, which maintain their own privacy practices.
Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with the site. It may include:
Case & investigation information
- Wallet addresses, transaction hashes and blockchain network details;
- Screenshots, messages, emails and other communication records you submit;
- Names, usernames, phone numbers or other identifiers connected to a case;
- Platform, domain and account information related to the reported incident.
Contact & account information
- Your name and email address, when you submit an intake form or contact us;
- Correspondence you send us directly.
Technical information
- IP address, browser type and device information;
- Pages visited and general usage data, collected via cookies or similar technologies.
Do not include private keys, seed phrases or wallet-access credentials in anything you submit to us. zkGUN will never ask for them, and we do not need them to review a case.
How We Use Information
- To review, triage and investigate submitted cases;
- To trace blockchain activity and correlate supporting evidence;
- To prepare technical reports and escalation material where applicable;
- To communicate with you about your case or inquiry;
- To maintain the security and integrity of our intake systems; and
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use case material for advertising purposes.
Legal Basis for Processing
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following:
Who We Share Information With
We limit access to case material to personnel and parties with a legitimate need to review it. Depending on your case, information may be shared with:
- Exchanges and service providers — where relevant to tracing or freezing flagged wallet activity;
- Legal representatives — acting on your behalf or otherwise authorized in connection with your case;
- Law-enforcement authorities — where you request escalation or where legally required;
- Service providers we use to operate the site — such as hosting or email infrastructure, under confidentiality obligations.
We do not share case material with unrelated third parties, and we do not publish identifiable case details (see our Cases page for how case profiles are anonymized).
Data Retention
We retain case information for as long as necessary to complete our review, support any ongoing escalation, and meet legal, accounting or reporting obligations. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.
Security Measures
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect the information you provide, including access controls limiting who can view case material. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us over the internet.
Cookies & Site Analytics
The site may use cookies or similar technologies to support core functionality and understand general usage patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some site features.
International Data Transfers
Depending on where you and our service providers are located, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps intended to ensure such transfers comply with applicable data-protection law.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The “Last updated” date above indicates when this Policy was last revised. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
